During relocation one thing you have to keep in mind is what are the factors that affect the relocation costs. Several factors affect moving charges such as:

Volume of Goods

Your quantity of goods plays a deciding role in influencing other factors such as the size of the truck, number of laborers required, etc. For domestic and international relocation the weight of the goods also matters. Sort out all your unwanted goods, and reduce the number of moving goods.

Quality of Packing Required

The number of fragile/delicate goods you have and the quality of packing you need is also a cost affecting factor. For local shifting movers carefully pack all your delicate/essential goods because the risk of damage is low as the moving distance is less. For domestic/international relocation you can choose, economic packing where only essential/fragile goods will be packed, premium in which multi-layer packing will be done to your goods.

Vehicle Type

Packers and movers have varieties of trucks available, the cost varies depending on the size and type of the truck you choose. Trucks like Mahindra Axle, Force Trump, Tata Ace costs less than trucks like Tata 407, Mahindra Pickup, Ashok Leyland Ecoment, etc. When you hire a shared truck, your goods will be moved along with other people’s things; it’s cost-effective but it will take more time to deliver. Dedicated truck, your goods will be transported in a single truck, it will be delivered quickly, but the charges will be slightly high.

Demand for Location

The cost may increase or decrease depending on the relocation demand for your destination city. If you relocate to a metropolitan city like Mumbai to Bangalore, the demand for the route is more and the service cost will be less compared to relocating to an off-center city like Ziro to Majuli, as the demand for this route is less.

Manpower

The number of laborers and the hours you hire them also affect the cost. To finish the entire disassembly, packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking, reassembly, for a 1BHK house you will need 2 men and a truck, for a 2BHK house you will need 3-4 men, and 3BHK or bigger houses 6-7 men.
Note:Note: For domestic/international relocation movers offer unpacking and reassembly services for an additional cost, at your request.

Physical Effort

The amount of physical effort involved in the entire relocation process also affects the cost such as the distance between the door to truck, residing floor, non-availability of the elevator, using roping methods for moving large/heavy items, etc.

Distance Covered

For domestic and international moving, the distance covered between the origin and destination is also a cost affecting factor, along with the weight of your goods. The greater the distance the higher, the moving cost.

Additional Services

For domestic and international relocation, services like insurance coverage, warehouse facility, etc. will be provided at your request for an extra cost.
